Our Terms & Conditions
General
1. In this document Kneewise Travel shall mean Kneewise Travel (Pty) Ltd.
1.2. This agreement and its interpretation shall be subject to the Botswana law.
1.3. All reservations shall be on a pre-payment basis. Should payment not be timeously received Kneewise Travel reserves the right to automatically cancel such reserved shuttle, tour or transfer.
1.4. All our tours and transfers are by road. Transfers are dictated by passenger numbers and their flight variations. Any additional transfers are charged at a nominal rate per person.
Rates
2.1. All rates apply both to groups and F.I.T. bookings, and are quoted per person, inclusive of VAT.
2.2. Kneewise Travel reserves the right to amend the published rates without notice.
2.3. Rates are quoted in US dollars and payment is accepted in this currency. However, arrangements can be made to convert this to Botswana Pula (BWP) using the rates supplied by our local bank.
2.4. Rates converted into BWP are only valid if all deposits are received on the due date. Kneewise travel reserves the right to re-quote the rate or cancel the booking.
2.5. Kneewise Travel cannot be held liable for any rate fluctuations of third party suppliers whose services Kneewise Travel booked on behalf of travellers.
Children
3.1. All children are welcome on board at Kneewise Travel under strict adult supervision.
3.2. Children under the age of 5, sharing accommodation and vehicle seat with full paying adults pay the quoted child tariff.
3.3. Children under 12 are not allowed/permitted to be taken on game drives unless their parents have reserved sole use of their vehicle for which there might be a charge.
Transfer/Tour policy
4.1. No F.I.T. booking is secure or confirmed until a 50% deposit is received to secure the booking. Kneewise Travel reserves the right to cancel the reservation at any time without notice.
4.2. All travellers shall settle their extras in cash at the end of each transfer or tour.
4.3. All transfer fees must be pre-paid no less than 30 days prior to the tour.
4.4. Tour or activity will be a minimum of 3 travellers.
4.5. Kneewise Travel reserves the right to limit the number of travellers per tour or vehicle. 4.6. Cut off times are based on the experience’s local time.
4.7. Experiences require good weather. If it is cancelled due to poor weather you will be offered a different date or a full refund. Third party policies apply to experiences that Kneewise travel has booked on behalf of the travellers.
4.8. All reservations amendments are valid only if advised and accepted by Kneewise Travel, in writing, by email.
Cancellation
5.1. Kneewise Travel reserves the right to charge the following fees should a confirmed booking be cancelled within the following periods:
10% cancellation fee if cancelled more than 180 days prior to the tour
25% cancellation fee if cancelled less than 180 days prior to the tour
50% cancellation fee if cancelled less than 60 days prior to the tour
100% cancellation fee if cancelled in less than 30 days or the show
5.2. Final number of groups must be confirmed 60 days prior to arrival after which any reductions in numbers will incur cancelation fees in accordance with (5.1) above.

6.1. Please ensure that a copy of the bank transfer slip, together with the reservation details are emailed to bookings@kneewisetravel.com
6.2. Should you feel concerned with paying into our back account without personally verifying the details, please feel free to call our office at +267 71277755 to confirm the details. Unfortunately, Kneewise Travel cannot be held liable should payments be made to any incorrect accounts.
6.3. Cheques are not accepted as tender of payment.
6.4. Payments must be received by Kneewise Travel on the dates stipulated, failing which Kneewise Travel reserves the right to collect payment directly from clients on arrival. Delays on postal services and mislaid payments are the responsibility of travellers or travel agencies.
6.5. Master card, visa and American express credit cards are accepted for foreign currency payments for prepaid bookings only.
6.6. All credit cards require a letter of authorisation with card holder’s signature to debit same.
6.7. The credit card which is submitted to us for deposits and prepayments must be presented at the time of tour with holder’s passport for verification purposes.
Waiver/Variation
Variation or waiver of the above terms and conditions is at the sole discretion of Kneewise Travel and must be confirmed in writing, failing which such variation or waiver will not apply.
